The Ogden Nash Society
The Ogden Nash Society was founded at St. George’s in 1992 as a forum through which to recognize those alumni, parents, and friends of the school who have made special provisions to support St. George’s though planned gifts. The society is named after one of the school’s most illustrious alumni, Ogden Nash, class of 1920. Nash is a celebrated poet and satirist, and is most remembered for his clever wordsmithing and pithy turn-of-phrase.
Members of the society receive certain benefits, which currently include: recognition in school publications; invitation to the annual Ogden Nash Society Breakfast held during Alumni Weekend in May; and access to professional, personalized gift planning services.
Please let us know if you have already included St. George’s in your estate plans so we can properly recognize your contribution to the school. In addition to celebrating your contribution now, sharing your intention with the school helps St. George’s take stock of estate gifts, and in turn, helps the school to more effectively plan for the future. Director of Leadership Giving Ryan Kirk would be happy to discuss your plans further. He may be reached at 401-842-6729, or ryan_kirk@stgeorges.edu.
